A separate product

Just need takeoff and estimating? Groundwork Takeoff is standalone.

Not every team needs the full ERP. Groundwork Takeoff is a separate, native takeoff and estimating app: draw on the plan set and watch materials, labor, and totals build themselves. It's priced and sold on its own, not bundled into the plans above.

  • Six measurement modes: linear, perimeter, area, volume, count, dimension
  • Live estimate grid with assembly libraries as you measure
  • Native macOS and Windows apps, plus an iPad and web version
  • Offline-first, syncs when you're back online

How the rest of the market prices this

Every major competitor requires a sales call for a real number.

We checked. Procore, Buildertrend, Corecon, RedTeam, and CMiC all require a quote for actual pricing, and three of the five price as a percentage of your revenue or project volume rather than a flat per-seat rate, meaning the bill grows as your company grows, independent of how many people are actually using the software.

Procore

Quote-only, priced as a percentage of your Annual Construction Volume

Roughly 0.1% to 0.2% of ACV per year

Reported real-world bills range from about $4,500/year for a small contractor to $35,000 to $60,000/year at the $50 to $100M ACV range. No public number exists anywhere on Procore's own site.

Buildertrend

Switched to a custom-quote flow in 2026 (previously published tiers)

Estimated $339 to $1,099/month depending on tier

Historical tier pricing is still echoed by third-party sites, but Buildertrend's own site now routes every quote through a 5-step form asking for your construction volume, the same shift toward revenue-based pricing as Procore.

Corecon

Quote-only as of 2026 (previously published per-user pricing)

Third-party estimates span $10 to $300/user/month

That's a 15x spread across sources, and none of them agree. We don't think a specific number here is trustworthy enough to publish, and treat that spread itself as the finding.

RedTeam

Quote-only, priced by Active Project Value (the total value of projects in progress)

Third-party estimates around $45/user/month or $299/month starting

RedTeam's own pricing page, which we checked directly, publishes no dollar figures at all. A free entry tier ("Benchmark") exists with no published usage limits.

CMiC

Quote-only, role-based named-user licensing

Third-party estimates of $20,000 to $150,000+/year, plus $20,000 to $100,000+ implementation

One analyst figure of "$100/user/month" circulates online but is explicitly flagged by its own source as not vendor-confirmed. CMiC targets contractors above roughly $20M in annual revenue.

Groundwork

Published per-seat pricing, no revenue tie-in

$59 to $119/seat/month

The price is on this page. It doesn't change because your revenue grew, and you don't need a call to find it out.

Competitor figures above are third-party estimates gathered from review sites, pricing aggregators, and reviewer-reported bills as of 2026, not vendor-confirmed numbers, since none of these five publish one. Several sources disagreed with each other by 2 to 15x, which is itself informative about how opaque this category's pricing is. If you have a current, vendor-confirmed quote from any of these and it differs from what's shown here, tell us and we'll correct it.

Pricing questions

Is certified payroll really included, not an add-on?

Yes. Davis-Bacon wage-floor checks and WH-347 generation are part of the Professional plan, not a separate line item. Most competitors treat federal-compliance features as a paid module; we don't.

Why per-seat instead of a percentage of construction volume?

Several competitors price against your annual construction volume or active project value, so the bill grows with your revenue regardless of how many people are actually using the software. We price against seats because that's what actually drives our support and infrastructure cost, and because it means your price doesn't change just because you won a bigger job.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

You can export every project, document, and record in standard formats (CSV, XLSX, PDF, JSON) at any time, and for 90 days after cancellation. Nothing is held hostage in a proprietary format.

How long does onboarding take?

Most GCs are running live projects inside a week. We import your active job list, cost codes, and contact directory up front, then walk your estimating and PM teams through their first project live.

Do you charge per module?

No. Every module in a plan is included for every seat on that plan: estimating, scheduling, job cost, and compliance modules all ship together.

Is there a minimum seat count?

No minimum. Add seats as your crew grows and remove them when a job cycle slows down. Billing adjusts the same month.
