Groundwork didn't start as software looking for a market. It started as an internal tool built to run real jobs, and every module in it exists because a real project needed it.
Where it started
A tool built to run jobs first, sold to anyone second.
Estimating, scheduling, RFIs, job cost, certified payroll: each one got built because a real project on the ground needed it that week, not because a product roadmap called for it. That order matters. Software built to be sold first tends to optimize for the demo. Software built to run a real job first optimizes for the Tuesday morning it actually has to work.
A construction company betting its operations on a piece of software deserves real assurances: your data exports in standard formats whenever you want it, and a team that runs its own jobs on the same platform it sells you, so a problem gets found the same day it happens, not reported by a customer months later.
What we believe

Pricing should be public.
