Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Groundwork, Inc. collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the Groundwork website and the Service. It covers Groundwork's own visitors and account contacts. It does not govern Customer Data submitted into the Service by a customer's own users. That is governed by the applicable Data Processing Addendum and the customer's own privacy practices, since Groundwork acts as a processor for that data.

2. Information We Collect

• Account and contact information: name, work email, company, role, provided at signup or during a sales conversation.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, device/browser type, collected via first-party analytics and product telemetry.
• Communications: support tickets, sales correspondence, and content of messages sent to us.
• Billing information: processed by our payment provider; Groundwork does not store full card numbers.

3. How We Use Information

• To operate, secure, and improve the Service and website.
• To respond to inquiries and provide support.
• To send product updates, billing notices, and, where permitted, marketing communications, with an opt-out available at any time.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Sharing

We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing; see the Subprocessors list), and as required by law. We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

When a subscription ends, the account's data is retained for 90 days. Nothing is deleted during that period, an export can be requested at any point within it, and restarting the subscription restores the account as it was. After 90 days the data may be permanently deleted. See section 10 of the Terms of Service.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@groundworkai.io to exercise these rights, and mark the subject line so it is routed to the person who handles them.

7. Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved. See the Security page for detail.

8. International Transfers

Where personal information is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards recognized under applicable data protection law.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
